With over 39 years of experience, in youth, children, evangelism, and pastoral ministry, our pastor, Bishop J Mack & Renee Taylor, are prepared and excited about the myriad of ministry opportunities available at the Beautiful Haven of Hope Church!

Bro. Taylor began his ministry as youth leader at the Kenly church of God in October of 1983, and through the years became an innovator in youth & children's ministry/evangelism, writing training curriculum, and traveling around the country helping our great denomination develop youth & children's pastors on a state and local level.

He was called upon, by the Church of God, to hold numerous seminars and training classes, as well as by churches and ministry teams around the country.

He served on a number of Denominational State boards and committees for youth & children's ministry, and was part of the steering committee that formed the NCLA, the National Children's Leaders Association within the Church of God, and taught numerous classes at the annual conferences.

Pastor Taylor also served a number of Churches as Associate Pastor, Minister of Youth & Christian Education, and Music Minister, as well as Pastor.

Pastor J Mack Taylor extends his most sincere welcome to you to come and be a part of the most loving, warm, welcoming church, of which he has ever had the privilege to be a part!

Renee Taylor is the wife of Bishop J Mack Taylor, and began her ministry at the ripe old age of 12 at the West Mount Church of God in Rocky Mount, NC, where she began the church's very first children's church. She was in charge of curriculum, music, teaching, crafts, etc. for the children's church.

Renee is the daughter of Pastors James & Diania Blackburn of Rocky Mount, NC. Having been raised in a pastor's home, Renee is an excellent role model for mothers as well as her own children, Sarah & Alycia. She has been considered the Youth Group "Mom" at every church at which the Taylor's have ministered, affectionately receiving
the name "Big Mama " at church.

Renee assists her husband in pre-marital counseling, as well as family counseling, and also counsels the youth & children of her church. She walks in the anointing of God, and sheds His wisdom very often to their ministry constituents.

Renee has an excellent singing voice, and has ministered in several choirs over the years, and on very rare occasions, has ministered explicitly well in special song.

Renee is most happy behind the scenes, doing the difficult legwork of the ministry in which she and her husband labor.

Renee Graduated from Southern Nash High School, and has served on the Eastern North Carolina Girl's Clubs committee for four years.

Renee married J Mack Taylor in September of 1986, and is the mother of two beautiful daughters, Sarah, whom has professed a calling into youth & children’s ministry, and Alycia. Both Girls are incredibly gifted singers.
